Download Nvivo For Mac: How to Install and Activate the Software



When collaborators have uploaded their work they should change their status to ready to merge on the main workspace screen. The workspace manager can then download the collaborators' copies to their local machine to merge with the master file.

Click Versions on the left of the interface and select the collaborator from the dropdown.A list of all project versions that the collaborator has been shared or has uploaded, is displayed. (Shared master file versions have summary Distributed by workspace manager.)Click the download icon for the most recent collaborator version.


After downloading a collaborator's work, the workspace manager should immediately change the collaborator's status, depending on whether they want the collaborator to continue working on the project or not.


The current SFU site license for NVivo was renewed in May 2022. A new license key is available, via the self-serve download page. All SFU NVivo users will need to input the new license key in order to continue using the software.

Students, faculty and staff may obtain the software by clicking the Download NVivo button. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, users will be presented with a download link and the current software license key. Please note, multiple versions of NVivo are available (NVivo 11, 12 and the latest version), please use the appropriate software key for the version of NVivo you choose to download.


Download NVivo 20.7.1 for Mac from our software library for free. This app can be installed on Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. The most frequent installer filename for the program is: nvivo.dmg. This Mac application was originally developed by QSR International Pty Ltd.


The most recent installation package that can be downloaded is 343.6 MB in size. The software lies within Productivity Tools, more precisely Office Tools. The most popular version among the program users is 10.1. Our built-in antivirus checked this Mac download and rated it as 100% safe.


In order to successfully install NVivo, you will need the USC license key for NVivo 20 (for the NVivo 12 license key see below) Click the button below to download the appropriate key:


NVivo qualitative data analysis software is available to MSU faculty, staff, students, emeritus and graduate teaching assistants via an MSU site-wide license. NVivo may be installed on personally-owned or MSU-owned devices. Follow the steps below to download.


To download release 1.5.1, click on the BIG BLUE DOWNLOAD BUTTON. Previous versions, please look right below the button for the text "Download Older Versions of NVivo". If you need an older version, you will need to contact the UIT Service Desk to get a key for the older version.


The version available for download on this page is for students or faculty/staff home use only. On ODU-managed computers, download the software from the Ivanti Portal Manager (Windows) or Jamf Self Service (Mac).


Download NVivo by clicking on a download button above. The .exe (Windows) or .pkg (Mac) file will download after you log in with your MIDAS ID and password. The license is included in the software package, but it must be renewed every year. If you get a warning that your license is about to expire, you only need to download the license updater, rather than the entire software package.


NVivo is available for free download for Harvard's FAS community (NOTE: If the page fails to load, clear your browser's cache or try a different browser. When the link is working correctly, you will be prompted to log in.). Students not affiliated with FAS can purchase at a discount directly from NVivo. A free 14-day trial is available for the latest version, for which you will need a myNVivo account to access the download link. Just keep in mind when testing the newer versions and collaborating with users on older versions that files are not backward compatible. Also, the free trial is available only once per product, per user.


Our advice is that as a student, before considering the student version, first contact a faculty member at your school to see if they already have an academic license and access to NVivo. If they do, then all you have to do is create a free myNVivo account, opt for the free trial period to download the software and obtain the University academic license. Enter the license into the software to unlock the full access.


Please note the NVivo Mac / Windows codes have an expiry date so please check the ICT page above for the current codes and before downloading please check that you are downloading the software which attaches to the code (this is not necessarily the latest version), which is explained on the ICT page above.


The software you will download is a significant size and will take approximately 30 minutes to download depending on your internet connection. You may be asked to create an account and to restart your machine. Carefully read the instructions and make time to note down the code as it cannot always be copied and pasted.


Every year, the licence for NVivo expires. There is no need to install the software again. When prompted you simply need to enter the updated license key from the RMIT NVivo download page for either staff or students. All active projects will be retained in NVivo and you will be able to access those again once you have entered the new licence key.


NVivo projects can be transferred between NVivo for Windows and Mac. NVivo for Windows and NVivo for Mac projects have different project file formats, but can be converted from one to the other using the free update NVivo for Windows Service Pack 5: _downloads.aspx.


Students: The Licence Agreement we have for Nvivo permits us to loan a copy of the software for installation on your personally-owned PC for the duration of your course. Copies can be downloaded from the Exeter IT - Home Software Hub


Note: The license assigned to your account allows you to download Microsoft Office, install it on your machine, and activate it using your [email protected] account. It does not give access to Office.com online or cloud services like One Note and One Drive.


All Microsoft licenses for the software downloaded from the CUIT site are authorized every 90 days by the CUIT KMS server. For authorization, the devices must either be physically on campus or you must be logged in to the CUIT VPN.


NVivo is also available for installation on home/personal PCs and Macs for all campus faculty, staff, and students. To install NVivo on a personal device, follow these simple instructions to download:


NVivo software, available for download in both Windows and Mac versions, is designed to help researchers organize, code, and analyze qualitative and mixed methods research data. To obtain the NVivo license key, fill out the form here.


Users can access the SSCC instance of NVivo Server from NVivo on Winstat or from a locally installed copy of NVivo while connected to the SSCC VPN. NVivo can be downloaded for personal Windows machines from the Campus Software Library. QSR states here that you should not try to connect to NVivo Server from the NVivo for Mac, as it is not compatible.


Note: After you have downloaded Office 365, Microsoft may require you to activate the software. Indicate that you already have an account and activate it using the same login details again; username [at] lu [dot] se.


Before attempting to install NVivo, ensure you have acquired an NVivo licence code from the IT Software self-service web page. Once you have a licence code and have downloaded the necessary NVivo installer, you can follow the steps below to install the software.


The Waikato University site licence for NVivo is a per user licence for all staff and enrolled students. NVivo can be downloaded on any UoW owned computer and a staff member or enrolled student can download a single copy of NVivo on a single portable personal device. The NVivo licence key will need renewing each year.


Staff and students working remotely are entitled to install a single copy of NVivo on a portable device or PC strictly for teaching and research related work for the University. After downloading NVivo on the appropriate device, it is necessary to contact ITS Service Desk on 07 838 4008 for activation of the Nvivo site licence. 2ff7e9595c
